A Personal Reflection on a World Guinness Record-Breaking Moment of Unity and Purpose

As Chairman of the Esharelife Foundation and Honorary Consul of the Republic of San Marino to the United Kingdom, I had the privilege of witnessing an extraordinary event that brought together culture, community, and compassion in a truly remarkable way.

On 25–26 April 2026, at Chelsea Old Town Hall, London became the stage for a historic achievement: the creation of the longest tiramisù ever recorded, reaching an incredible 440.58 metres. While this Guinness World Record will be remembered for its scale and precision, what stands out to me most is the spirit behind it, the collaboration, generosity, and shared purpose that made it possible.

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all the Italian community members, whose vision and leadership turned this ambitious idea into reality. Their decision to dedicate part of the proceeds to the Esharelife Foundation is particularly meaningful to me. It transforms an already exceptional accomplishment into something even more impactful: a concrete contribution to improving the lives of vulnerable communities around the world.

Esharelife was founded on the belief that education and opportunity can change lives. Thanks to initiatives like this, we are able to continue supporting vital humanitarian projects, offering hope and tangible assistance to those who need it most. This is why I see this record not simply as a celebration of Italian excellence, but as a powerful example of how culture and charity can work hand in hand to create lasting change.

The event also highlighted the strength of collaboration between Italy and the United Kingdom. I am grateful to the many institutions and organisations involved, as well as the associations of chefs and professionals who contributed their expertise with passion and dedication.

I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to the Members of Parliament and the All-Party Parliamentary Group members who joined us. Their presence and support underline the importance of cultural diplomacy and the role such initiatives play in strengthening relationships between our nations.

A particularly touching moment was the dedication to King Charles III: “Grazie Your Majesty”—a gesture that reflects the deep appreciation of the Italian community in the United Kingdom for the warmth and support it has received over the years.

For me, this event represents something far greater than a world record. It is a testament to what we can achieve when we come together with a shared vision, not only to celebrate our Italian heritage but to give back and make a difference.

Through Esharelife, I remain committed to turning moments like this into meaningful action. Because true success is not measured only in records broken, but in lives improved.
