In September 2023 Prof Maurizio Bragagni Esq OBE was appointed by the State Congress of the Republic of San Marino as Alternate Governor to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development(EBRD).

In his noble capacity as the Honorary Consul of the Republic of San Marino to the UK, appointed by the Republic of San Marino in November 2019, Dr Maurizio Bragagni OBE has been working diligently to promote the best interest of the Republic to the UK.

Dr Maurizio Bragagni OBE is CEO of Tratos UK Ltd, a United Kingdom cable manufacturer with its head office and main sales office in London and its manufacturing and technical facilities in Knowsley, Merseyside. 


In addition to his successful business career, journalism is what fulfils Dr Maurizio Bragagni OBE’s passion for driving positive changes in our society.  Dr Maurizio Bragagni OBE has written several articles, and books on the importance of education, giving back to society, family business and sustainable development.

Dyslexia Screening

Dr Maurizio Bragagni OBE supports Matt Hancock’s campaign for early identification and teacher training for dyslexia and other neurodivergent conditions. This imitative will ensure every neurodivergent child can reach their potential and will require universal screening for dyslexia in primary schools.

MoreThanAJob project

Dr Maurizio Bragagni OBE is supporting the #MoreThanAJob project, which aims at enhancing the development of a cooperation mechanism between the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) and the public administration to improve the social services for vulnerable groups in order to increase their opportunities for social and labour inclusion.
